Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has announced an official notification JEE Main 2016 for the admission of candidates in Indias most well known and reputed engineering colleges such as NIT, CFTI and etc. Joint Apex Board of CBSE invites the applications from interested and eligible applicants. JEE is the biggest engineering exam in India. As IITs and ISM are the premium engineering and science colleges in India, the candidates have to clear the second level of exam JEE 2016 advanced for securing admission into them. Applicants who are getting top marks in JEE Mains 2016, only those are eligible to appear for JEE 2016 advanced exam. The students who are cleared the JEE 2016 Advanced exam, those can get the opportunity to join either in IITs or in ISMs.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2016:

Age Limit:

There is no minimum age limit for JEE Main 2016.

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates passed their higher secondary education or equivalent examination to appear for this exam.
  • Applicants must have passed qualifying exam either in 2013 or 2014.
  • Candidates must qualify in 5 subjects in their academic out of which are mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • Applicants can attempt for a maximum of three times.

JEE Main 2016 Exam Syllabus:

JEE Syllabus will be in Intermediate level only. Applicants can follow the following syllabus.

JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern:

Paper 1 Pattern:

  • JEE  exam will be conducted in both offline or online.
  • Time duration for this exam is 3 hours.
  • Paper consists of 30 questions in each section.
  • Applicants will get 4 marks for each right answer.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Paper 1 is for admission into B.Tech or B.E.
  • Paper 2 is for admission into B.Arch.
  • Candidates can write any one paper or both papers.

Paper 2 Pattern:

  • Paper 2 exam will be consists three parts.
  • Time duration for this exam is 3 hours.
  • Each part will consist 30 questions.
  • Every correct answer will get 4 marks and 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

Important Dates for JEE Main 2016:

  • Starting date for JEE Main 2016 online application form: November, 2015.
  • Last date to submit the filled application form: December, 2015.
  • JEE Main 2016 Admit card will be available from: March, 2016.
  • JEE Main 2016 Offline Exam Date: April, 2016.
  • JEE Main 2016 Online Exam Date: April, 2016.
  • JEE Main Answer Key will be available on: April, 2016.
  • JEE Main score card will be published on: April, 2016.
  • JEE Main Rank Card will be available from: July, 2016.

How to apply for JEE Main 2016:

  • Go to the official website of the JEE Main www.jeemain.nic.in.
  • Applicants need to register themselves by giving necessary details.
  • After that candidates can get a Login ID and Password as per the email ID and mobile number as mentioned in the form.
  • Applicants need to login and provide all the personal, academic and other details as mentioned in the application.
  • After filling up the application form applicant need to download their bank slip and pay their fee through online by debit or credit or through bank e-challan.
  • After that, upload their scanned photograph and signature.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • Take hard copy of it for future usage.
